During the exchange, SFIEC introduced Shenzhen’s open and inclusive urban character, its leading innovation vitality, and its rapidly developing technology and innovation industry clusters. SFIEC also shared its experience and achievements in international exchange and Sino-foreign cooperation projects. Director Lichtig acknowledged Shenzhen’s unique strengths as a “City of Technology” and SFIEC’s competence in connecting international resources, expressing her expectation to further promote TUM’s German and international students’ understanding of Chinese language, culture, and innovation.

Director Lichtig also introduced TUM’s recently launched “China Expertise Program”, designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of Chinese language and culture and to foster a comprehensive understanding of China. She expressed her hope that the program could be further integrated with Shenzhen’s unique urban characteristics and innovation ecosystem, creating more opportunities for students to engage in meaningful exchanges and practical experiences.
